Free for farmers in New Zealand and Australia

Good performance deserves to be seen.

KaiProva keeps each animal’s tag, weights and history in one private record, so the work you put in stays visible after the animal leaves your farm.

No new tag. No new weighing system. No requirement to sell.

If performance can’t be seen, it can’t be valued.

The animal moves. Its history often doesn’t.

KaiProva keeps one private record through every farm, showing where the animal has been and how it has grown. You choose when to share it.

It fits around the routine you have.

Start with your current animals, tags and weighing equipment.

  1. 01

    Register the animals

Upload a reader file using the official tags on your animals.

  2. 02

    Keep weighing as normal

Add each new weigh session. The picture gets clearer as the animal grows.

  3. 03

    Choose when to share

Keep it private, or share it with a chosen processor or programme when an opportunity fits.

A record that keeps working after the animal leaves.

Start with a private view on farm. Use the same history when an opportunity or result comes back.

01

One record through every farm

Each farmer adds to the same history, showing where the animal has been and how it has grown. If part of the history is missing, the gap stays visible.

02

Let processors find you

Building

With your permission, a processor looking for animals like yours will be able to find you. We’d rather label this than demo it.

03

Get the result back

The evidence goes forward to processors and buyers. The result comes back to the farmers who raised the animal, so they can see what worked.

The information existed. The joined-up view did not.

A buyer asked a simple question: where will the beef come from, and what can we say about it?

Answering it meant piecing together farms, spreadsheets and separate systems — and even then, nobody could point at an animal and say where it had been or how it had grown. The animals were there. The record wasn’t.

That gap became KaiProva.

The first result KaiProva can prove.

You may already be collecting the evidence.

How efficiently an animal grows is a major driver of its carbon footprint. KaiProva connects the weights you already record to each animal and keeps that growth history together.

AgResearch modelled the carbon footprint of New Zealand pastoral young dairy beef finished at 10–18 months, across 54 production scenarios.

KaiProva calculates from there. At processing the record closes, and that animal gets its own result — built from its own evidence, not an industry average.

lower carbon footprint than the Beef + Lamb New Zealand Class 9 average

Read the science and scope

The result applies to this production system, not to every kind of beef.

Start with the record. Add more when it is ready.

Three clear stages, so you can see what works today and where KaiProva is heading.

What does KaiProva cost a farmer?

The basic record is free for farmers. Register animals, add weights and keep your private record at no cost. Registering does not guarantee a buyer or a premium.

Do I need a new tag or weighing system?

No. KaiProva uses official tags and compatible reader files from your current equipment.

Who can see my farm data?

Your record starts private. You choose what to share and with whom. KaiProva does not sell farm data.

Does registration list my animals for sale?

No. Registering an animal never lists it for sale and does not commit you to a buyer, price or delivery date.

What does KaiProva verify?

KaiProva connects the official identity, dated weights and farm history. A claim is only called verified when the records and science support it.

Who is KaiProva for?

Farmers, growers and finishers keep the record. Processors and buyers use the evidence at the other end. Programmes and research groups will be able to run their own cohorts on the same record — that part is still being built. KaiProva is open to all of them; it isn’t owned by any one buyer.

Register once. Add each new weight. Share only when it helps you.
